What is the Catholic Connections Committee?
The Catholic Connections Committee was formed by the authority of the Saskatchewan Conference of Bishops. On October 12-13, 2007 this committee hosted a provincial forum to bring together Catholic institutions and stakeholders to reflect on issues, challenges, and goals they face, and to identify ways in which these institutions and stakeholders might work collaboratively to help resolve the issues, meet the challenges and achieve the goals. As a result of this forum, it was agreed that this committee should be expanded with the following mandate:
– to support, encourage, and foster faith formation in our organizations and to model Catholic values.
– To tell our story, to celebrate our successes, and shed light on our accomplishments.
What does the Catholic Connections Committee do?
Through a series of meetings, the committee has developed a communication plan to get information out to the target groups, which is the Saskatchewan Catholic community, including the stakeholders involved in the committee and the entire provincial community.
